A level of grim called "CLIMB"


Taking place on planet P44-X, Grim is an online shooter that lets you experience the battle between the Persuasive Forces and the Insurgents.

Made by six students, this game strives to set an example of what small teams can offer the game industry on a AAA-quality level. Including our three game-modes Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, and Breach, the game offers a fun and exciting experience for everyone who loves playing shooters and has a soft spot for high quality game art.

Climb is the level which is going to be featured in our own game-type. There's a little backstory to the level: the defenders have a small settlement, just along the shore, on a cliff. There's a big communications array to be found in this settlement and this is the target of the attackers. With a small group, the attackers try to infiltrate this settlement and sabotage the communications. However, their presence does not go unnoticed. The defenders gather all their present forces to fend off the attackers.


Climb uses a u-shaped layout, but going upwards. So you could say the attackers have to make a climb. This layout should let the defenders spawn in an unreachable area for the attackers, but close enough to the battlefield so they can be back in action in time. There should be a balance between the difficulty for the attackers to advance and for the defenders to kill or keep the attackers away from the target long enough.
